As print and material designers we have, through our design and education practice, always been highly aware of the increasing need to address the damaging footprint being made by the Fashion and Textiles Industry. 

Colour/Matter was created in response to this to explore potential alternative approaches to create low impact print, colour and material methods that can work towards regenerative, circular and nature supportive production models.

Our ongoing research involves building a palette of colour from a selection of sustainable sources and colour application processes. Through collaboration with producers, manufacturers and industry partners, the development of an archive of low impact colour and print prototypes inform towards a more planet-friendly approach to material design.
