Colour/Matter are Rebecca Hoyes and Jo Pierce, print designers and researchers at Central Saint Martins with experience in colour and material research, product design, trend forecasting and education.
Colour/Matter engage in a range of projects, exploring concepts through colour, its connectedness to people, planet, wellbeing and social design. Through unique projects, exhibitions, workshops and consultancy Colour/Matter seek to engage and inform wider audiences in the debate around textile industry and craft practices.
Through our open-ended print led process Colour/Matter engage in emerging trends and innovation with material and colour to create poetic and sustainable artefacts that use transience and provenance of colour as the narrative.
Working across a range of materials both hard and soft, Colour/Matter create experimental prototypes to communicate and explore new colour and material possibilities.
